Dear Parents and Carers...
Message from our Head Teacher
Dear Parents/carers,
School-wide Focus on Punctuality
In the last couple of weeks we have been having a big push on improving the punctuality of our students in school. All year groups have received an assembly on the importance of positive time keeping and also the negative impact that poor punctuality has on attainment and future potential. Students that were frequently late to school during the autumn term have been placed on Punctuality Report, and students that have been frequently late to their lessons have been included as part of the newly launched Punctuality Challenge. We also believe it to be extremely important that parents/carers remain informed about all aspects of your child’s school day, as such, we have introduced a new daily message home (sent via WEDUC or email) to all students that are late to school each day. If your child has been placed on either the punctuality report or punctuality challenge, this will have already been communicated to you through an email, and the relevant key stage office will be communicating regular updates home about the progress your child is making in relation to their punctuality.
Please could we ask that you reinforce these important messages of being punctual both to school and also lessons throughout the school day.
If you would like to discuss the issue of punctuality in school further, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your child’s relevant Key Stage office, or email mclayton@chorustrust.org.
Uniform
We will be relaunching our uniform expectations after the half term holiday. Please support us by encouraging your child to attend school in correct school uniform.
Second-hand items of school uniform and PE kit can be purchased from our school reception. We currently have the full range of school uniform and PE kit available, all items are clean, in excellent condition and are available in a wide range of sizes.
If you would like to enquire about purchasing any items of uniform then please email ajones@chorustrust.org, and include in your email information regarding the items, size and quantity you require. Mrs Jones and Mrs Ibbotson on reception will then gather together your order and send it home with your child when your order is ready.
There is a small cost of £1 per item of uniform purchased, to be paid in cash to our school reception. All funds raised will be then donated to the Silverdale School PTA.
