The Year 11 students can be proud of their results. 236 Silverdale students sat exams in a phenomenal 36 different subjects. 79.2% of students passed both English and maths with 67.4% gaining a ‘strong pass’ (grade 5) or better in these two subjects. There have been some particularly pleasing achievements across all subjects, with 42% of all grades awarded at the highest possible grades 7-9.

Silverdale is a school that tailors its curriculum to meet the needs of the community it serves and so the subjects available for study are diverse. Subjects studied by Silverdale students range from geography to sociology and from 3D design to hospitality and catering, in addition to the core subjects (English language and literature, maths and science). The school offers the opportunity for students to sit exams in their home language, and the class of 2024 gained GCSEs in 10 foreign languages including Arabic, Persian, Polish and Turkish.

Many of the students will now embark on sixth form life at Silverdale Sixth Form, judged by Ofsted to be ‘outstanding’ in its last inspection, and which is now housed in a purpose-built Sixth Form facility.

We are proud of them all. Our thanks also go to their families for supporting them through their studies and to the Silverdale staff who – as ever - have worked with our students every step of the way.

“We are looking forward to welcoming many of the students back to Silverdale in September, where they will take the next step in their education, at Silverdale Sixth Form. Wherever they choose to continue their journey, we wish them well and look forward to hearing of their future successes.”
