Quote of the Week competition

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.
Every week our English department provides a quotation for students to identify and answer questions about.
This week's quote is:
"Footfalls echo in the memory
Down the passage we did not take
Towards the door we never opened"
Questions:
- Who wrote this?
- In which of that author's poems can these words be found?
We also have a special half term quotation, to tie in with it being Black History Month:
"We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because, whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind".
Questions:
- Who said this?
- In which year?
- Which singer referred to these words in his "Redemption Song"?
Students should write their answers, with their name and form, and place in the blue box in the Learning Resource Centre/library. The winner will be announced the first Monday back after half term.
